Ariel, one of the largest so-called “settlements” in the Land, has started construction on Israel’s sixth official medical school. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Education Minister Naftali Bennett and Jewish-American billionaire Sheldon Adelson.
The college is named after Adelson and his Israel-born wife, Miriam, as they donated $5 million of the $30 million needed to complete the project.
