TROPHY protects tanks and armored vehicles by using a special radar to detect incoming projectiles, calculate their trajectory and, if necessary, intercept them with its own small rockets. And all this happens in the blink of an eye. The system is already being used to protect Israeli tanks.
But it’s not only in the US where Rafael is having success. The company has, for example, also been contracted by Romania to help develop a home-grown version of its vaunted Iron Dome anti-missile system. Rafael will provide the know-how so that local Romanian defense contractor Romaero can develop and produce its own Iron Dome using local suppliers.
