An international research project is using artificial intelligence and advanced material analysis to investigate the origins of the Dead Sea Scrolls and gain new insights into the intellectual life of ancient Judea.

“It’s not just a display of the scrolls, which of course in and of themselves would be powerful,” but other “wow objects” leave viewers in awe, the museum’s director of exhibits told JNS.

Besides the Dead Sea Scrolls, the caves may contain items from the First Temple.
