Arab Terrorist Stabs Two Jerusalem Police on Purim

Terrorist shot dead, officers in stable condition; Police on highest alert as public celebrates Purim

An Arab terrorist stabbed and moderately wounded two Border Police officers in Jerusalem’s Old City early Monday morning.

The attack occurred at the Lion’s Gate on the city’s eastern side facing the Mount of Olives.

The 25-year-old terrorist approached the police guard station, entered and began wildly stabbing.

One of the officers was eventually able to push the terrorist outside, load his weapon and shoot the assailant.

The terrorist later died, while both officers were listed in stable condition.

Police were on high alert throughout Jerusalem on Monday as the city celebrated the Purim holiday, which sees thousands of children dress up and gather in public areas.
