‘Conquer, expel, resettle’ – IDF reservists, rabbis demand real victory in Gaza

“Only when it is clear that every attack on us will end in the loss of land will true deterrence be established.”

A broad coalition of Israeli reservists, combat veterans, and leading religious Zionist rabbis has unveiled a sweeping national campaign calling for the complete military conquest of the Gaza Strip, the removal of its hostile population through voluntary emigration, and the reestablishment of Jewish communities in the area.

The initiative—spearheaded by the reservist movement “Generation of Victory” representing thousands of reserve officers and soldiers—rolled out on Sunday with a high-visibility bus ad campaign across Beersheba, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. The slogan: “Victory = Voluntary Emigration.”

According to the organizers, the plan offers a “humane and safe” strategic solution: guaranteeing Israel’s long-term security by removing one of Hamas’s core assets—its civilian base—while giving Gazans “an opportunity to start anew in other countries willing to receive them.”

“This is the real strategic solution,” said Maj. (res.) Gilad Ach, chairman of the movement. “Those who oppose allowing Gazans to leave the war zone want to keep them as pawns against Israel, leading inevitably back to the situation before October 7. If our government can rise to creative, humane, and unconventional solutions like opening Gaza’s gates for emigration, it can ensure Israel’s security. The only way to absolute victory is a total change in Gaza. Enabling emigration is the greatest defeat of Hamas and the surest prevention of the next massacre.”

Reservists’ ultimatum: ‘Conquer. Expel. Resettle.’

Alongside the bus campaign, hundreds of reservists—from all branches of the IDF, including senior officers up to the rank of colonel—signed a petition to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Security Cabinet demanding full military conquest, the expulsion of hostile elements, and Jewish resettlement of Gaza.

“We left everything—families, children, businesses—and risked our lives for the defense of the state,” the petition reads. “We will not stay silent when a deal is on the table that abandons our security and sets the stage for the next massacre and kidnappings. In the name of our fallen comrades, we demand a clear goal: absolute victory means only this—conquest, expulsion, and settlement.”

The letter ends with a blunt appeal to the government: “Enough with word games. Defeating Hamas = full conquest, full expulsion, and full resettlement. This is not a slogan—this is the only path to victory and the security of Israel’s citizens.”

Rabbis’ call: Gaza is part of the Land of Israel

The campaign is reinforced by a parallel letter from a group of senior rabbis in the religious Zionist community, urging the government to fundamentally change its approach to the war.

“Victory will not be complete by striking terror alone,” the rabbis write. “The goal is full return to Gaza, the removal of the enemy, and the renewal of Jewish settlement in the Gaza region.”

They describe Gaza as an inseparable part of the Land of Israel—“the inheritance of our forefathers, a place where biblical figures and Jewish communities lived for generations”—and say that relinquishing it was a “moral, security, and national disaster.”

As long as Hamas or any hostile entity rules Gaza, they warn, there can be no real deterrence: “Only when it is clear that every attack on us will end in the loss of land will true deterrence be established.”

Among the signatories are some of Israel’s most prominent rabbis, including Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Elyakim Levanon, Rabbi David Fendel, Rabbi Uzi Sharbaf, and Rabbi Oury Cherki.

“The victory in this war will be determined only when the Jewish people return to the Gaza region—not as guests, but as owners,” the rabbis declared.

The only solution is God’s solution. He deeded the land to Israel. He never once said, “Give it to your mortal enemies!”

The bad tenants who hate Hashem, need to go and be replaced by tenants who follow Hashem. For the land belongs to Hashem !
