It is quite possible that Tehran played into Israel’s hands and thereby gave Jerusalem a unique opportunity to exact a high price from the ayatollah regime.

Israel has a unique opportunity to significantly reduce the nuclear threat posed by Iran. By eliminating Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Israel has not only lost its fear of an attack but also weakened Iran’s influence, including its proxies in Lebanon and Hamas in the south. If Israel can find the means and the courage to successfully bomb Iranian nuclear or oil facilities, it could free the world from the threat of an Iranian nuclear arsenal. The Sunni governments surrounding Israel, particularly the Saudi kingdom, are reportedly standing behind Israel in this endeavor. Targeted attacks on Iran’s oil facilities would severely impact an already struggling Iranian economy. Washington fears that oil prices will rise globally. Israel must act without regard for Western opinion.
