A look at expectations for the meeting between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, the handling of Iran, and Israeli positions on Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Washington on Monday morning aboard the “Wing of Zion.” The exact departure time was kept secret for security reasons. As with previous trips, Netanyahu did not take any journalists on board.

Netanyahu was scheduled to arrive in Washington on Monday evening. He will meet with President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. The Prime Minister’s Office is still awaiting the White House’s decision on whether Vice President JD Vance and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio will also attend the meeting. Netanyahu would very much like to meet with both of them, but it remains unclear whether this will take place during the meeting with Trump or in separate talks.
