What if this war is not what it appears to be?

While the world looks at Iran, a much larger power struggle may be playing out in the background. Perhaps it is about far more than rockets and sanctions. Is it really about energy, influence, and global dominance? And right in the middle of it stands Israel — a small nation, once again at the center of global political shifts. This is also why Israel is so contested in the perception of others. It is said that Israel is no longer acting merely as a defender of its own existence, but as a player in the power structure of the great powers.

“This war was never really about Iran, and once you see that, it becomes clear.” Many experts think along these lines. The rockets, the Strait of Hormuz, and the oil price are on everyone’s lips. But no one is asking the question that truly matters: Who would actually be affected if Iran’s oil were no longer available? Not America, and not Europe either. It would be China.
