Shortly after 7 am Israel time, the Israeli army resumed its military offensive against the Hamas terrorist infrastructure in Gaza.

Hamas had until that time every morning to provide a list of at least 10 additional hostages it planned to release in order to buy one more day of ceasefire. It failed to provide a list by the specified time this morning.

Additionally, shortly before 7 am, Hamas fired at least one rocket at southern Israel. It was intercepted by the Iron Dome.

A statement released by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu read:

“The Hamas-ISIS terrorist organization has violated the agreement. It has not met its obligation to release all of the women hostages today, and has launched rockets at Israeli citizens.

“Upon the resumption of fighting, we emphasize: The Government of Israel is committed to achieving the goals of the war: Releasing the hostages, eliminating Hamas, and ensuring that Gaza never again constitutes a threat to the residents of Israel.”

Israel’s renewed air strikes on Friday morning focused largely on southern Gaza, in particular the Hamas stronghold of Khan Yunis.

Flyers were distributed to local residents calling on them to flee Khan Yunis and head to the town of Rafah, which sits on the Gaza-Egypt border. The IDF warned Gaza civilians that Khan Yunis is now a dangerous combat zone.

In one Israeli strike on Khan Yunis, the home of a senior Hamas official on the fourth floor of a five-floor upscale residential building was destroyed. The rest of the building was untouched.

The Biden administration has stressed in recent days that it expects Israel to be “more careful” to avoid civilian casualties in southern Gaza than it was in the north of the coastal enclave. The insinuation of the demand was seen by many Israelis as an insult, as though Israel had purposefully killed thousands of civilians in northern Gaza, or at best had coldly disregarded them.

Israel goes to great lengths to avoid collateral damage in battle, much more so than American forces in recent Middle East wars, and this often comes at the cost of higher IDF casualties. That thousands of Gaza civilians are dying is entirely the fault of Hamas, which uses them as human shields. But Washington can’t complain to Hamas, so it instead blames Israel.

I don’t understand this kind of warfare? If the Allies during ww2 had warned everybody in various German cities, eg Dresden, to flee and then waited for them to flee, then we could have been swarmed in my country, Denmark, with hundreds of thousands og Germans.
I also don’t understand the precision bombing? Many years ago the IDF had the chance to eliminate all Hamas leaders, incl Sinwar, who were to hold a meeting in a building on the 3 floor. They planned to use a really large bomb, but then a general told them to only hit the third floor, and these nasties all lived, because they had decided to stay in the ground floor. What a shame that Netanyahu is running the show. I heard Caroline glick I last night, on her show, and it seems that some in the leadership should be imprisoned. Finkelstein seems to have ordered that the soldiers now go around in Gaza and erase all the stars of David that they drew!?! Is this dude WOKE!?

Since you admit to knowing nothing of what you are talking about, you should be quiet.

      • Lennie Joensen says:

I’m not ‘admitting to knowing nothing”, that’s not what I’m saying. “I do not understand” is different from “knowing nothing”!
Do you not understand that the US et al wants to stifle Israel? The US is not Israel’s true friend.
You should listen to Caroline Glick on YouTube – she had some very important info the other night. American and Israeli commenters expressed shock!

        • Vernon Ryan says:

I have commented that the current US administration is not a friend of Israel several times.
Not understanding qualifies as not knowing, I have commented on that kind of warfare as well, it is all about money. This administration wants to put more money into Ukraine and still lose the war but the money has benefits for political uses by those creating the conscripting of it through taxation. The democrats are very good at it for political purposes. The purpose of it at this time looks like they want to put so much money in it for Israel but will somehow not deliver it in the end.
The Lord and only the Lord will deliver Israel from what is building up in the ME at this time. Check out Ezekiel 37-39, a lot of information about this time in prophecy.
