The Syria we know today is confined to boundaries conjured up by Allied powers in the wake of World War I. But in Arabic that region has a much older name that encompasses territories far beyond Syria’s modern borders: Bilad al-Sham, or what we might call “Greater Syria.”
And it’s this term, al-Sham, that can be found in the names of various Islamist groups like ISIS–known in Arabic by the acronym pronounced Daesh, or Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham. Same with the group now in control of Syria, Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Al-Sham, or Greater Syria, corresponds roughly to what we in the West refer to as the Levant, a region that includes the present-day states of Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, and parts of Iraq and Turkey.

I believe Israel should have all of it’s God-given land. Trump’s plan to “own” Gaza contradicts HaShem’s will for Israel. And, unfortunately, in my opinion, will lead to a broader regional war. Will the U.S. government stand with Israel should it occur???
I believe that Hamas started the Ezekiel 38-39 war on Oct. 7 2023. According to scripture, the Lord Himself will bring it to a close. The head of jihad will be cut off as the one sixth part who are allowed to survive and return to their homelands and tell what they saw happen.
Unfortunately, the rest of the snake that is still alive around the world will still be active for a short time, long enough to be very destructive, but it will die. Israel will have a seven year peace treaty while the war is ongoing over the rest of the planet.
What will Israel be doing during the first three years? They will be building the temple. In their desperation to bring in more help against Israel, Hamas will destroy the buildings on the temple mount and blame Israel for it. Shortly, we will see.
