Arab countries that supported, armed and financed the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) for decades are now realizing that the terror organization did not do anything to actually benefit the Palestinians.
For years the PLO received billions of dollars in donations, and it all went down the drain when the previous PLO chairman Yasser Arafat passed away. His wife Suha Arafat, who lives in Paris with her daughter, inherited all that Arab money.
Mounting corruption in the Palestinian Authority is changing how Arabs view the Palestinian issue. The Palestinians are resentful and keep asking for money, but the Persian Gulf states have stopped pouring in huge amounts of money as they did in the past. Now the Gulf transfers funds to UNWRA or other international institutions. Die Wahrheit über die “Palästinenser” kommt immer mehr ans Licht.
Bald werden sie nur noch von Europäern und der USA unterstützt, was aber ein sehr schlechtes Image über unser Land erzeugt.
Some thoughts:
1. Are you implying that Gulf States are wise in supporting or trusting money to the UNRWA? Teaching false history to children doesn’t help them grow up with correct attitudes toward Israel/Israelis.
2. The entire foreign aid help to nations is irrational and unwise. Nobody should have ever been trusted with huge sums of money without being responsible to honest supervisors up the chain of command to insure it was used wisely and equitably. I’m talking about the US and other nations who doled out money over the years to leaders who got wealthy while their average citizens suffered.
3. Come quickly Yeshua and set up your kingdom.
