IDF Spokesman for Arabic-language media, Lt.-Col. Avichay Adraee, tweeted last week to wish Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah a happy 60th birthday.

The sarcastic tweet featured a caricature of Nasrallah hiding in a bunker with a caption that read:

“You celebrated your 60th birthday, Hassan Nasrallah. What can we wish you? Freedom from your role in terrorism and in your Iranian-backed militia, and may you be blessed with the insight to see the true future of the citizens of Lebanon. May they be freed from your regional policies, and maybe then you can come out of your bunker?”

The post was liked 331 times, retweeted 53 times and received 153 comments from people across the Middle East, most of whom wholeheartedly agreed with the Israel spokesman and blasted Nasrallah for having contributed so much to Lebanon’s demise.

Lt.-Col. Adraee has 368,000 followers in the Arab world, and his posts regularly spark widespread discussion among Israel’s neighbors.
