Alongside the Torah portion, a chapter from the prophets is also read—this time from the Book of Isaiah—and in light of President Trump’s words, Isaiah’s words became increasingly relevant. On that day, everything will change for Israel. A good time will arrive, for every crisis is a new birth. This is how the Hebrew text in the Bible describes it, as in Hebrew, the words for crisis and birth are the same. Trump—knowingly or unknowingly—lent a certain timeliness to Isaiah’s words.

The Torah portion describes Israel’s first redemption, marking the beginning of the people of Israel’s long and historic journey through the desert. The prophecy of the prophet Isaiah, however, refers to a future redemption, one in which peace will prevail between Israel and its neighbors, particularly with Egypt, the largest of the Arab states in our region.

Isaiah offers five prophecies in his vision concerning Egypt, all beginning with the same words: “On that day – בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא”. The day is equated with time. These predictions seem...

You are elevating Trump to the point of godhood. When he was in his first term, people were comparing him to King Cyrus; however, Cyrus was a benevolent king to his own people. Trump has not been kind to the American people. If he is not kind to his own countrymen, beware!

I read your post to my wife, a former democrat, she said you sound just like a democrat. The truth is, what you described is totally what the democrats are. They were to busy trying to do Trump in to pay attention to the people in the US. That is why they lost the election as badly as they did, even their cheating that did go on wasn’t enough to win. The last recent poll I read on Tuesday had the democrats at less than 30% nationwide. I see more people working now than there were during the last 4 years, Trump has been far better for the American people than the democrats in their now radical communist/democrat party.

My wife and I have been reading Isiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and now in Daniel. It is awesome reading and seeing the prophecies coming to life right in front of the whole world. It’s sad that all the hatred, bitterness and plain blindness, are deceiving people from living better lives than they are now.
