Narendra Modi is the first Indian prime minister to pay a visit to Israel.

During his three-day visit at the beginning of July, both countries came to several arrangements in the areas of economy, agriculture and military technology. The 66-year-old Modi is known for his love of the Land of Israel and his friendship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During the welcoming reception, Netanyahu said that his guest had inspired him to start doing yoga regularly. Netanyahu and Modi drove along the beach together in a jeep, toured the Land in a helicopter, met with Indian Jews and visited Indian UN troops in the north. Like Netanyahu, Modi is fully aware of the dangers of radical Islam.
