
Charles (Chuck) M. Kopp was brought to burial on Tuesday afternoon, May 4th, 2021 at the American cemetery of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) on 41 Emek Refaim Street in Jerusalem’s German Colony, where a beautiful colorful mural is displayed. Several hundred people attended the funeral. According to Jim Schutz, an old friend who also attended, the whole event was very touching, especially the personal memories shared by Chuck’s wife Liz and their children, and the loving ways they spoke about him.
Chuck was well known in Israel for his willingness to listen even to people considered to be on the margins of society. For example, he wished to understand and encourage not only Protestant Messianic Jews in Israel, but also to communicate with Jewish Christians that joined the local branch of the Roman Catholic Church.
