
This week around our Shabbat table we discussed the chaos and anger in the streets throughout the country and the talk of civil war. Then we heard news that Russia is offering Iran S-400 missile systems, which would create a virtual wall of defense against any preemptive attack by Israel on their nuclear weapons.
That’s pretty common fare for kitchen talk among our people. Our history has taught us to live on the brink of extinction, probably going back to the day we stood in front of the Red Sea with Pharoah’s armies breathing down our necks. In modern Israel too after fighting five regional wars in our short 75 years of statehood and suffering uncountable bloody terror attacks by our closest neighbors, our collective memory as a people enduring the ages plays a crucial role in keeping us optimistic so we can continue celebrating Shabbat, lighting the hopeful candles, drinking the...

I agree with you completely and I wonder if this is only read by Israel Today people or if this is also published widely in Israel? At times I get really angry with the short sightedness of some of the people. Yes stand together.
I also wonder if Zechariah in particular chapter 14 is read by Israelis. I hate to think of all that is coming.

I do not live in Israel, but know the land belongs to Yehovah. I am watching, as an outsider, the people tare the country apart with protests. Unity is needed among the people in order for the government THEY elected to function and address all points of interest. Unfortunately, the loosers of the election would rather see their country destroyed in civil unrest than admit they were not the chosen ones.
