MembersNonbinary Genders in Ancient Jewish Religious Texts

Nonbinary gender has long been an issue and is nothing new. We are all God’s creation and made in His image.

We live in a world in which many things are changing dramatically around us, not only in politics but also in the society in which we live. What was once taboo is now taken for granted, whether we agree with it or not is not the issue. Each of us grew up in an environment that shaped who we are and how we think. Everyone has their beliefs and limitations in belief and judges according to their own understanding. Today, a nonbinary gender identity is being promoted in the media, which is something we knew nothing about in our younger years. “Genderqueer” and nonbinary are modern terms for people who don’t fit into the male or female categories. But the realization that not everyone fits into those two groups has a much longer history than you might suspect.

I’m not nonbinary myself, nor am I taking a stand for or against this movement. I am writing about this because I personally know nonbinary people here in Israel and it is a fact of our society. I have often had...

  1. Susan says:

Unbelievable! Choose this day whom you will serve. Take a stand. If Rabbinical sources are leading you to question God’s Word, then those opinions are questionable. Just as there are Jew and Gentile, there are male and female.

  2. Kirk DuBois says:

Of course we know that Rabbinical traditions compiled after Yeshua have more weight than the written TNK……

  3. Lois Heal Bright says:

“Has God indeed said…you will not surely die…your eyes will be opened…”” (Gen. 3:1-5)
Satan wants us to analyze God’s Word rather than believe God, for in analyzing, Satan has the opportunity to influence our thinking away from God’s truth.
John 10:10, addresses this: “The thief [Satan] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
God’s Word is in our hearts that we may love and obey Him. (Deut. 30:14) That is why we must live honestly in its light.

  4. Bruce Davis says:

It may seem harsh to some but if you’re uncertain which gender you identify with
    “Just look beneath your belt”

  5. Vernon Ryan says:

The Lord God is not the author of confusion.

  6. Sally Smith says:

There are humans that are born with a genetic anomaly of xxy, rather than xx or xy, but what’s going on in cultures today is people with normal male or female genetics claiming to be something other than what they genetically were born as. This confusion is totally demonic and designed to confuse and derail them from the Lord’s design and purposes for their life.

    • Vernon Ryan says:

Amen!!! Deceit and confusion are weapons being used against the believers in the God of the universe in today’s world, but the Lord said the gates of hell will not stand. What will they not stand? the truth, the Lords weapons are not carnal, the truth is more powerful than all the weapons of satan combined. Those who are under the spell of evil are completely blind to the truth, how do you explain the way the Lord walked through a crowd of people totally intent on stoning Him to death? they were blind to the truth.

  7. psalm100al says:

After the fall mankind was no longer made in the image of God but in the image of Seth Gen. 5/1-3. The only One who was the image of God while on this earth was the Lord Jesus Christ 2 Co. 4/4: Col. 1/15. That image is reinstated to man only after salvation and only because we are given Christ’s imputed righteousness.
    Col. 3/10
The sodomite agenda, stated in the 1970’s was to get rid of the family and get your children, which we have all allowed them to do. There was very little of this gender confusion until forced on everyone via all media and schools etc. We will have to answer to God for this horrendous child abuse.
