MDA Director-General Eli Bin: “With the outbreak of Operation ‘Am K’Lavi – Rising Lion,’ Magen David Adom reached peak preparedness, with full staffing of thousands of emergency vehicles across the country. Our EMTs and paramedics were dispatched to multiple scenes and acted with determination, professionalism, dedication, and speed to provide life-saving medical assistance to more than 1,300 casualties across all levels of injury, in full coordination with the Home Front Command, the Israel Police, Fire and Rescue, and local authorities. Tragically, 28 civilians were killed during the 12 days of the operation, and we extend our deepest condolences to their families. I offer heartfelt thanks to the thousands of MDA personnel—EMTs, paramedics, drivers, dispatchers, blood drive coordinators, logistics teams, volunteers, and staff—who have been working tirelessly, around the clock, with endless devotion. I call on the public to continue adhering to Home Front Command instructions—we have seen throughout the war just how many lives it saves. We will continue to stand on the front lines and give our all for the safety and health of Israel’s citizens”.
