The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released an interim assessment of the ongoing Operation Roaring Lion. According to the report, more than 2,500 precision weapons have been deployed so far, and around 600 infrastructures of the Iranian regime have been destroyed. Approximately 110,000 IDF reservists have been mobilized.

With the start of the operation, the army’s Operations Division is leading the overall coordination of the military campaign. It is responsible for directing and synchronizing offensive and defensive measures across multiple theaters simultaneously.

Even before entering the combat phase, the Operations Division had conducted months of intensive preparations. These included comprehensive operational planning, coordination processes with the US military, and broad preparations for a potential multi-front development. In this context, regional commands were strengthened, and both defensive and offensive readiness were significantly increased.

Under precise intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and in close cooperation with the Operations Division, the Israeli Air Force has so far struck over 600 terrorist infrastructures of the Iranian regime. Approximately 2,500 guided munitions were used in these attacks. The targeted sites include more than 20 facilities of the Iranian security leadership, over 150 ballistic missiles, and more than 200 Iranian air defense systems.

In the past 24 hours, the military also conducted multi-layered operations across all fronts. In Lebanon, around 30 terrorist infrastructures were attacked.

According to the Israeli military spokesperson, the initial phase of the operation involved three to five attack waves per day, with dozens to hundreds of strikes daily. The current focus is clearly on Tehran – particularly on the Revolutionary Guards, internal security structures, and regime command centers. The emphasis is explicitly on the leadership level.

The forces are pursuing two central operational objectives: First, maintaining air superiority and securing complete control over Iranian airspace. Second, the systematic combating of the missile and launch systems. The focus here is on destroying launch ramps, eliminating missile stockpiles, and the real-time detection and neutralization of mobile launchers before missiles can be fired toward Israel.

Regarding cooperation with the United States, the spokesperson stated that there are missions conducted “hand-in-hand.” Other operations are clearly separated, with both armies operating in close coordination but in distinct areas of responsibility.

On the situation in Lebanon, it was reported that Hezbollah joined the confrontation overnight and attacked around 3 a.m. Since then, there has been no further shelling. Israel responded with targeted eliminations in Beirut, which are ongoing. In the coming days, a decision will be made on how deeply and with what intensity to proceed against Hezbollah. However, the main front currently remains Iran.

Regarding the Houthi militia in Yemen, the spokesperson said preparations are in place for possible missile attacks, but there are currently no indications of active involvement.

Finally, the Israel Defense Forces emphasize that they will continue to act both defensively and offensively on all fronts.
