Israel, and Tel Aviv in particular, is booming with musical talent. With new groups being formed and emerging talents joining forces, the jazz scene in Israel is forever shifting and evolving in new and exciting directions.
Gilad Chatsav is no exception to the rule. Already established as a prominent figure on the Israeli jazz scene, having performed equally with its more veteran and younger members, he was selected as Israel’s ambassador to UNESCO’s International Jazz Day in 2015. Since then, Chatsav has continued on his innovative path, and in May 2017 he inaugurated the first of a series of house concerts at the Pecker family home in Tel Aviv.
Ehud Pecker was an Israeli painter who was most active in the 1970s. He passed away a few months ago. Since Pecker was a music enthusiast, it seemed only natural that his daughters honor his memory by hosting house concerts.
