Suppose Israeli media reported “7 Men Shot dead: 129 dead” after Paris Attack…

Are Israelis, who shout foul at European media using headlines like, “Palestinian shot dead after Jerusalem attack kills two”, dumb?

Are Israelis, who shout foul at European media using headlines like, “Palestinian shot dead after Jerusalem attack kills two”, dumb? Have decades of conflict turned them too touchy? Are they wrong in expecting foreign media to produce more accurate headlines like “Palestinian terrorist shot dead after murdering two Israelis”?

In the wake of the Paris terror attack, during which 129 people were killed in cold blood, Maariv news portal nrg seized the opportunity to ask a few people on a Paris street who had just been exposed to the reality of terror, what they thought of a faked front page headline saying “7 Men Shot dead during Paris Attack: 129 dead.” If those interviewed for the short nrg video are any indication of what Europeans think of such headlines, then it seems Israeli contempt for BBC like news outlets is justified.

Not surprisingly, not a single person approved of nrg’s faked headline. Reactions ranged from “this is lying” to “all terrorists should be called terrorists,” every one of the respondents disapproved of this headline which they said indicated to them the support of terror. This little video will, most likely, do little to change the way Europeans view at Israel? Nevertheless this is an important documentary showing that such headlines should have been regarded as Europe’s intolerable attitude toward Israel.
