The Fate of the Tribes of Israel
The Jewish people are, of course, descendants of the 12 Tribes that entered and divided the Promised Land under divine command.
For the most part, the Jewish people of today are, as the name suggests, descendants of the Tribe of Judah. But after centuries of exile, even this one tribe is a colorful, multicultural mix, making it feel as if the other 11 tribes were still present in the Land. We can’t reconstruct what the full people of Israel must have looked like in King David’s day, but one can imagine by looking at the colorful tapestry of Israel today.
