MembersThe Government and Us – in the Midst of Chaos

While IDF soldiers fight on the front lines, the political leadership is getting lost in ideological trench warfare – and no one is taking the first step toward unity.

Across Israel, people increasingly realize that the current chaos among our leaders is unsustainable in the long run. While war rages outside, the government entangles itself day after day in power struggles, ideological trench warfare, and coalition deals. And when it comes to the question of who is to blame, the division only deepens: the political right blames the “leftist system” – the judiciary, bureaucracy, and media – which, in its view, blocks reforms and ties the government’s hands. The political left, on the other hand, sees the root cause in the present government itself – in an irrational, sector-driven coalition that leads the country into internal power struggles in the midst of war.

The result is a paradox: everyone senses that things cannot go on like this, yet each side blames the other. No one takes the first step to calm the situation. Everyone complains about the state of affairs, but no one stops. And while they argue at the top, the people carry the burden – on the front lines, in the reserves, in everyday life.
