2000 Olive Trees Planted in the Negev

A festive atmosphere was experienced by all as our Olive Grove doubled in size last Thursday.

By Israel Today Staff |

Our office staff joined with some Dutch and German visitors and even an “Israeli Lone Soldier” to plant the last batch of Olive trees at our Negev site.

It was a festive occasion seeing the young olive trees swaying in the Negev breeze and for all involved knowing that they all participated in achieving the Zionist goal of helping to green the desert. Our olive grove is located near Be’er Milka, Nitzana and Kadesh Barnea in the Negev, close to the Egypt border.

The oil that will be produced from these olive trees will be available to be acquired by everyone that donated to this project, starting in about 3 years, according to the biblical law for harvesting newly planted trees.
