“The history of the Jewish people began at the site of the Temple in Jerusalem,” Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan said in an interview with the religious newspaper Mishpacha. “Every time it’s rumored that our government is trying to make the nation more religious, it makes me feel like screaming. I don’t understand those people who believe that Israel is becoming more and more religious. In their opinion, what is the fundamental nature of our existence in this Land?
