We speak Arabic and wear moustaches

For decades, Jews and Arabs have talked past each other. That has changed because our soldiers now also speak Arabic.

A major mistake Israel made was to view the conflict with the Arabs through an enlightened, more Western lens. The West and, unfortunately, Israel respond to Muslim aggression with diplomacy, economic aid and other measures designed to eliminate the conflict at its root and without bloodshed. So it was thought that allowing them to work in Israel would bring more stability to the citizens of Gaza and make them lose interest in fighting against us. Unfortunately, we have been taught otherwise and more and more Israelis are now starting to “speak Arabic.” This means that we speak to the Arabs the language that they understand and that the Arabs also use among themselves: violence.

In 1970, when Jordan became fed up with the PLO and its terrorist activities, the army killed thousands of Palestinians and expelled the group from the country. This solved the problem.

How would an Arab country respond to regular terrorist attacks, like Israel or like Jordan?

For too long we have said we are better than them and rejected violence. That’s over now. Pacifists may be able to survive in Europe, but not in the Middle East.

Editor-in-chief Aviel Schneider has also become Arab.

As a symbol of this new policy toward Arabs, many Israelis have grown mustaches to look more Arab. They declare that they have taken off their kid gloves and stooped to the level of their enemies.

We are not a warlike or violent people, we do not want to hurt anyone. For decades we have tried everything to live in peace with our neighbors. We barely reacted to the rocket fire from Gaza, we got used to the daily terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria and tried to enable our enemies to live in freedom and dignity.

This terrible massacre had finally become necessary to free us from this dream world and adopt a more realistic attitude towards our neighbors. For the duration of the war we must become Arabs and fight back with full force.
