Seven unique rewards are promised by the Lord Yeshua to seven ‘overcomers’ or ‘conquerors’ (Nikon, in Greek) in chapters 2-3 in the Book of Revelation, the last part of the New Testament. Each one of those seven persons symbolize different kinds of believers. They are offered a ‘prize’ if they prevail over something which is not specified. The text only mentions two things: the person who is triumphant, and the divine reward given to the person for overcoming. But, again, in all seven cases there is no specification about what exactly must be conquered.
So, then, the enigma remains – what does it mean to overcome or to conquer something that is undetermined? And at the same time, however, the reward for the overcomers is briefly, yet quite clearly, described.
Interestingly, in all seven circumstances the reward is located outside of the present temporary world. Namely, the reward for the overcomer is within another realm, in the New Earth, the world to come:

Absolutely. We are to overcome sin. We were given the Spirit to empower us to do just that! But, we have to actually believe that the Spirit is stronger than the flesh! He knows our works, the Book of the Revelation says.
Overcomers are defined in 1 John. 5/4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1. John. 4/4. Ye are of God little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
