Not everyone who speaks to you is your friend.

Hamas and Hezbollah froth at the mouth over the chance to rape, maim, and murder Israelis. Iran not only speaks of wiping Israel off the map, but has fired hundreds of ballistic missiles demonstrating its willingness to act on that threat. Even the Palestinian Authority, Israel’s ostensible “peace partner,” doesn’t hide its disdain, as its schools teach children that one day the Jewish state will cease to exist.

But the most dangerous wolf of all is the one that comes in sheep’s clothing.

On a superficial level, Qatar talks to everyone. It has close ties to Washington, which maintains a large US Air Force base in the Gulf state, as well as with Iran, with which it shares a Shiite Muslim ideology.
