The resolution is expected to be brought to a vote at the U.N. General Assembly, which is scheduled to open on Sept. 10.
“We’re open to considering it. But I don’t see that happening right now. And until that happens, we’re there,” said the Israeli leader.
“The latest [Israeli] massacre, the latest oppression, was the crime against the leader martyr Ismail Haniyeh,” said the Palestinian Authority leader.
The report said that Israeli intelligence indicates that the attack could be launched before the Gaza talks scheduled for Aug. 15.
“Fasting during operational activity is prohibited; it is a life-threatening matter,” says the Israeli Military Rabbinate.
The report came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the chiefs of Israel’s security agencies for a situation assessment.
“We have international partners who will strengthen their forces in the region to help us in the face of these threats,” the Israeli military spokesman said.
Fu’ad Shukr served as a senior “military” adviser to Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
The meeting marked the first time the U.S. president hosted the Israeli prime minister at the White House since the premier returned to power in 2022.
