It’s an astonishing thing, that a nation so small and bereft of any tangible strategic value (no oil or other critical resources) can be the cause of so much turmoil in the halls of power in the world’s only true superpower. To say nothing of the tidal wave of public demonstrations across the globe in relation to that same tiny sliver of land.
In fact, it just doesn’t make any sense, unless you’ve got eyes to see and ears to hear.
The US House of Representatives was set to vote Wednesday on a bill hamstringing the White House over its failure to deliver weapons to Israel in a timely manner.
House Resolution 8369, the Israel Security Assistance Support Act, condemns the Biden administration for delaying a shipment of bombs to Israel out of “concern” over the newly-launched Israeli operation in Rafah, the last Hamas stronghold in Gaza.
American congressmen across the political spectrum have made it clear that they unconditionally back Israel’s war on terror, and expect the executive branch to respect the will of the people in that regard. While US President Joe Biden can’t legally cancel arms shipments to Israel, he can delay them, and in so doing he’s sparked the ire of Congress.
The bill threatens to withhold public funds from the Pentagon and US State Department until Israel gets its bombs.
The White House fired back, stressing that Biden would veto the bill if it passes a vote in the House and is sent to his desk.
The impact of such a scenario on the balance of power in American politics could be significant and far-reaching.
No other nation elicits the kind of emotions that can have such an impact on the politics and policies of the United States, United Nations and myriad countries around the world.
There are plenty of other conflicts going on, and many of them have far higher death tolls. There are plenty of other countries that are more “important” because of their strategic location and/or resources. And none of them produce even a fraction of the social and political handwringing as Israel.
Something unnatural is going on. Or rather, supernatural.
The world’s entirely nonsensical and blatantly exaggerated focus on Israel isn’t really about Israel. It’s about God. The world doesn’t want God telling it what to do. God in His word makes clear that He chose and loves Israel. So naturally, the world hates Israel.
And that makes Israel the center of everything, because God is the center of everything, and Israel represents His will on the world stage. So expect the divisions to grow and the hatred to intensify. We are getting closer.
Amen! Absolutely. Through Israel, God judges the nations.
Amen! Yes, we are getting closer! It is all a spiritual war – our enemy knows his time is running out and he is determined to wipe Israel off the map so Yeshua can’t come back. He is coming to His Chosen People in their land, and nothing can stop Him! Praying with you and for you – stand strong in Him!
