Who are the people Trump is nominating for roles that will impact Israel, and how do they relate to the Jewish state in general, the war against the Iran axis, and the “two-state solution”?

Marco Rubio (Secretary of State): The senior US Senator for Florida, Rubio supports of a policy of strong American intervention in world affairs. Rubio is a practicing Catholic and a staunch supporter of Israel. He has voiced opposition to a Gaza ceasefire until Hamas is destroyed, and believes a two-state solution is currently unviable.

Pete Hegseth (Secretary of Defense): A retired US Army major and former Fox News host, Hegseth is a pro-Israel Evangelical Christian who has publicly referred to the Jews the “chosen people.” He opposes a Gaza ceasefire until Hamas is defeated, and is highly skeptical of a two-state solution. Hegseth believes the US should take military action against Iran.
