There has been uproar in Israel over the medical treatment of captured Hamas terrorists, especially those who participated in the October 7, 2023 massacres.

Most of those terrorists are being held at the Sde Teiman detention facility in the Negev, where Health Minister Uriel Buso told Channel 12 News a field hospital has been established to get the terrorists back on their feet.

To a nation still reeling from the worst attack against the Jewish people since the Nazi Holocaust, this sounds appalling.

In a WhatsApp conversation with Channel 12 reporter Moshe Nussbaum, Buso explained that the terrorists aren’t being treated out of some misguided commitment to life even for those who seek nothing but death and destruction. They are being treated so that they can help Israel defeat Hamas, and save the lives of IDF soldiers on the battlefields of Gaza.

“A doctor with 30 years of experience told me that he’s saved more lives over the past year at Sde Teiman than he has in all his years in the health care system,” noted Buso. “Of course, he’s not talking about the lives of the terrorists themselves, but the fact that in treating and making them ready for interrogation, the information extracted from them has saved many lives. Many soldiers were saved thanks to those interrogations.”

In one particularly shocking example, Buso revealed that a terrorist treated at Sde Teiman then accompanied Israeli forces in Gaza and led them to additional Hamas terror tunnels.
