Israeli charges of Hamas using Gaza hospitals as cover for its terrorist operations are “grossly exaggerated,” insisted International Criminal Court prosecutor Andrew Cayley late last year. That assessment was shared by many in the international community.
Over the weekend, the Israel Defense Forces provided incontrovertible evidence that Cayley and co. were wrong. Dead wrong.
On May 13, the IDF carried out a pinpoint strike on the entrance to the European hospital, penetrating an underground facility while avoiding any major damage to the hospital itself.

The target was Hamas military commander Mohammed Sinwar, brother of slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
For weeks the Israeli army prevented Palestinians from accessing the site. Over the past few days, the IDF finally moved in, excavated the area and pulled out the bodies of Sinwar and his men. In doing so, the army exposed a Hamas command and control bunker beneath the hospital.
As can be seen in the following video, the bunker is situated directly under the entrance to the hospital’s emergency room.
Mohammad Sinwar was responsible for the deaths of countless civilians. He was eliminated in an IDF & ISA strike on May 13.

According to Article 21 of the First Geneva Convention, the presence of this Hamas military bunker nullifies the hospital’s protected status. See: War crimes and the misrepresentation of international law
The IDF Spokesman extensively documented the site in hopes of silencing Israel’s critics.

Will this be enough to finally compel antagonists like Andrew Cayley to wait for the evidence before regurgitating Hamas lies? Unlikely.
Earlier today, I witnessed one of the most remarkable things I’ve seen in my life:
I saw how a Hamas leader was hiding directly beneath the European Hospital.
And I saw how he was eliminated, without the hospital being harmed at all.
You’d think the world would be amazed by… pic.twitter.com/lziCXlnsOu
