Despite numerous setbacks, the Global Sumud Flotilla continues to make its way toward Gaza with dozens of boats to challenge Israel’s maritime blockade of the Hamas-ruled territory.

The man formerly being groomed to lead Hamas says Israelis should respond with a counter-flotilla and take on Greta Thunberg and her goons head-on.

Mosab Hassan Yousef is the son of Hamas co-founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef. Most of our readers will already know that Mosab, then known as the “Green Prince,” later flipped sides and became one of Israel’s most valuable intelligence assets. He went on to immigrate to the United States and converted to Christianity.

“Listen up, Israeli boat owners—sea wolves, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters,” he wrote on X over the weekend. “Fifty boats draped in fake flags, packed with terrorist sympathizers, sail to slander us while our hostages rot. This isn’t a protest; it’s a thunderclap. We don’t debate. We sail.”

Yousef urged Israelis to form “a blue-and-white wall for the hostages,” coordinating with the Navy and remaining within designated zones. “No ramming, just presence,” he stressed—while warning that the flotilla was designed to provoke Israel into a confrontation that would invite international condemnation.

The current flotilla, numbering some 50 vessels, is being shadowed by Italian and Spanish naval ships, with Greek media reporting Turkish drone surveillance. Organizers, including Thunberg—deported from Israel in June after a similar attempt—say they intend to deliver aid directly to Gaza, bypassing Israel’s offers to process cargo via Ashkelon or Cyprus.

“Greta Thunberg and her friends aren’t delivering aid,” Yousef wrote. “They’re delivering Hamas a lifeline. Their chaos must be answered with our outrage.”

Israel has vowed to prevent the flotilla from reaching Gaza’s shore. With about 20 of the 48 remaining hostages believed alive, Yousef says the symbolism of resistance at sea matters just as much as the battles on land.
