Six people were injured in Nahariya on Tuesday evening when a rocket fired from Lebanon struck a residential building. The victims—including two teenagers and four adults—suffered smoke inhalation and were treated by Magen David Adom emergency services before being taken to the Galilee Medical Center. Their condition is described as mild.
According to the Israeli military, the rocket was launched by Hezbollah and deliberately targeted civilian areas in northern Israel. The impact caused significant damage to the building and triggered a fire that was extinguished by emergency crews. More serious injuries were apparently prevented because the residents had reached protected spaces in time.

Major General Shai Klapper, Commander of the IDF Home Front Command, visited the impact site and emphasized the importance of protective measures. “Because people were in protected spaces, lives were saved,” he stated. At the same time, he urged the population to continue strictly following Home Front Command instructions. He described the response of the Nahariya municipality as “professional and courageous.”
The attack on the coastal city was part of a further escalation along the northern border. Impacts were also reported in the Kabri area of western Galilee. There, a man was lightly to moderately injured by the blast wave of an explosion. The repeated attacks demonstrate that Hezbollah remains capable of striking areas beyond the immediate border region.
In parallel, Iran continued its missile barrages on Israel. In the early morning hours, another launch was detected, but according to current information, it resulted in neither impacts nor injuries.
Current figures from the Ministry of Health
Meanwhile, the Israeli Ministry of Health released updated figures on the consequences of the ongoing military operation “Roaring Lion,” which began on February 28. According to the data, 3,530 people have been brought to hospitals since the fighting started. As of Tuesday morning, 86 injured individuals remain under treatment, including eight seriously injured and 16 with moderate injuries. The majority of those affected suffered minor injuries; two people are being treated for acute anxiety states. Since the start of the operation, 12 people have been killed in Israel.
In the past 24 hours alone, 70 new patients were admitted, including several with moderate injuries as well as numerous lightly injured individuals. The figures highlight the ongoing strain on the Israeli healthcare system as a result of rocket attacks from Iran and Lebanon.
For the population in northern Israel, the situation remains tense. Sirens, shelters, and repeated impacts continue to shape daily life—even far from the immediate border line.
