The art of inner balance. What Moses teaches us through his final song. Shortly before his farewell, Moses no longer delivers a lengthy sermon, nor does he add any further commandment. Instead, he chooses to give the people of Israel a song: Ha’asinu, which in English means “Listen.” Yet the Hebrew root contains more than just the act of hearing — it points to the ear as the seat of our sense of balance. This text explores how Moses, in his final words, invites us to listen to life and to rediscover our own center in God, amid the movements between joy and sorrow, reason and emotion, wilderness and abundance.
