Messianic Jews in Israel have initiated a program called the Social Delivery Organization (SDO). Through this initiative Israeli businesses and corporations can donate excess inventory and other items for distribution to the poor and other needy charities around the country.
Noble Energy, the global energy company that is heading up the largest energy project in the history of the State of Israel, has decided to partner with the Messianics on the humanitarian aid project. Recently, Noble contributed office furniture and equipment to be distributed to worthy Israeli charities and institutions like the Ben Shemen Youth Village, where over four hundred children, many of whom have been removed from their parent’s care for various reasons by the Ministry of Social Welfare, are cared for year-round.
The SDO initiative is part of the Messianic-run Joseph Project, one of the largest humanitarian aid and charitable organizations in Israel. Other Israeli companies are also cooperating with the Messianics.
