One article focused on a building on Shmuel Hanagid Street, just a stone’s throw from the Israel Today editorial offices. It was here, in the Ratisbonne Monastery, that Nazi mastermind Adolf Eichmann stayed during his war crimes trial.
The court sessions were held from April to December 1961 in the former Beit Ha’Am building, just a short walk from Ratisbonne. A narrow path was cleared to take the accused back and forth to the courtroom. Eichmann, the architect of the Final Solution against the Jews, was convicted and hanged, the only person ever executed by Israel.
