The rapid spread of COVID-19 has changed nearly every aspect of our everyday lives and has left many victims in its destructive path. Approaching the one-year mark since the virus first appeared, Israel has suffered over 5,000 total deaths. Aside from the tragic individual fatalities and their loved ones, there are many other victims of coronavirus as well.

The country’s unemployment rate still remains slightly over 14% leaving close to 603,000 people without steady income. Adding to that, the restaurant industry was rocked once again with a third lockdown, closing all restaurants throughout the country with the exception of deliveries. Out of 14,000 restaurants operating on the eve of the COVID crisis, 2,000 closed following the first lockdown and another 3,000 are expected to collapse in the near future.
