
I hold mixed feelings towards American Evangelical Christianity. My ambivalence ranges from enormous gratitude for the extraordinary testimonies of certain American believers on the one hand, to serious critique of American Protestantism on the other.
When I was a teenager, more than half a century ago, some Evangelical Americans caused me great jealousy of their genuine faith in the Lord Yeshua (Jesus). They truly provoked me to faith in the one and single Redeemer, the Son of God.
However, over the past decades I became increasingly concerned about the effects of American theological indoctrination in Israel. The standardization of American Christian values, and the infiltration of American churchy mentality into Israel are troubling.
It has now become apparent as well to many of our younger Israeli Messianic Yeshua-believers (IMYB) who appreciate the authentic love, encouragement, prayers and material assistance of many American brethren, that the American missionary dominance in Israel is worrying.

The theology of disciples of Ye’shua ha Mashiach should be based neither on Americans (Gentiles) or Jews, but on Ye’shua and the Spirit of Elohim (the Word and Worker of YHVH’s Will), who are always present to affirm and confirm the truth, historically, scientifically, and prophetically; but most of all personally. May YHVH himself vindicate his name in Ye’shua.
