ANALYSIS: Jewish Sages on the Global Islamist War Against Christians

The world just witnessed one of the most deadly terror attacks in the history of mankind and again Christians were the target.

On Easter Sunday, the Islamist group National Thowheeth Jama’ath murdered nearly 300 people wounding more than 500 more in churches and hotels in the predominantly Buddhist country Sri Lanka.

The group had a history of vandalizing Buddhist shrines and statutes in Sri Lanka but not of carrying out suicide attacks against non-Muslims.

Sri Lankan authorities believe National Thowheeth Jama’ath was aided by an “international network” an indication ISIS or Al Qaeda could have been involved.

Islamist terror against Christians and churches has been constantly on the rise as a quick look at the website of the watchdog group, Religion of Peace learns.

Many of the recent terror attacks against Christians have taken place in Nigeria where Christian girls are being kidnapped and forced to marry Muslim men, Pastors are abducted randomly and churches care torched, vandalized or destroyed.

In March only 150 Christians were murdered in Nigeria and Christian clerics warn that the situation is a ticking bomb that threatens “to ignite the whole region”.

Almost all terror attacks against Christians in Nigeria was the work of two Jihadist organizations with ties to Islamic State (Boko Haram and the Fulani).

In fact, the deadly Islamist campaign against Christians has already become a global war.

In Europe, Islamist terror against Christianity is on the rise as well.

In France, for example, 1068 attacks on Christian institutes, symbols or churches were recorded in 2018 an increase of 17 percent compared to 2017.

The same trend is visible in Germany where not only anti-Semitism is on the rise again but also violence against the Christian community.

In March alone, four churches were vandalized or torched in Germany while the perpetrators don’t hide their identity as they write Islamic expressions as “Allah Hu Akbar” on walls and doors of Christian institutions.

In the German state of Bavaria 200 churches were attacked in 2017 while observers say that the number of these attacks has significantly risen since the arrival of a large number of Syrian Muslim refugees.

Authorities in European countries are obfuscating the identity of the Islamist attackers and when in sporadic instances the media leak the identity of a destroyer of Christian symbols and buildings present the incident as a result of a mental problem, expert Raymond Ibrahim recently wrote.

Ibrahim says that governments contribute to the rise of terror against European- and other Christians by not acknowledging the root of the problem namely “the intolerant ideology of Jihad.”

Jewish sages such as Rabbi Meir Leibush ben Yehiel Michel Wisse, better known under the name ‘Malbim’ and Rabbi Isaac ben Judah Abarbanel commonly referred to as ‘Abarbanel’, basing themselves on the prophecy Gog and Magog (Zecharya and Yechezkel), predicted* these events long ago.

Both sages wrote in their commentary on Zecharya’s and Yechezkel’s prophecy that the war of Gog and Magog would be a war between the nations of Edom (Europe, United States, and Russia) and the ‘Yishmoelim’.

They will first gather against Jerusalem and Edom will take control over Jerusalem out of their hands before they start a war against each other, the Malbim wrote almost two hundred years ago.

The famous Jewish sage wasn’t referring to President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the true Capital of Israel but to the founding of the State of Israel.

Abarbanel in his commentary on Yechezkel 38:21 wrote: “And it is written ‘Each man will use his sword against his brother’. This alludes to Edom and Yishmael (Mohammed was a descendant of Yishmael’s son Kedar) for they are brothers through their original forefathers.”

The Rabbi, who lived from 1437 until 1508, predicted that the war would be long and “extremely intense”.

Another famous Jewish sage Rabbi Yisrael Meir Dagan, better known as the Chafetz Chaim, predicted that the war of Gog and Magog would be a three-stage world war beginning with the First World War (WW I).

The second war would make WW 1 look like “a game” the Chafetz Chaim predicted correctly*.

He added that even the Second World War would appear like a game compared to WW 3 because of the nature and the duration of this Third World War which according to Jewish tradition would begin on Hoshana Rabah the seventh day of the Succot festival or the Festival of Tabernacles.

Rabbi Kaduri, a famous Kabbalist who passed away in 2006, predicted that Hoshanah Rabbah in the Jewish year 5762 would be the date the final stage of the war, Gog and Magog would begin.

This was October 7, 2001, when a US-led coalition started the invasion of Afghanistan after the Al Qaeda attack on the Twin Towers in New York.

The ‘War on Terror” as the initial phase of the global war against Al Qaeda and other Jihadist terror groups was named is still going on and is widening as the global Jihadist campaign against Christians makes clear.

The only country where Christians seem to be safe and where the Christian community is still thriving, is Israel.
