Anna symbolizes the beautiful Israeli woman. At 21, she immigrated without her family to join the IDF. Today, she serves in the reserves and is planning her future here.

She was born in New Jersey to an Israeli father and an American mother. She has one adult brother and another set of twin brothers who are older than her. Anna is also a twin, but her sister was stillborn.

Her smile is charming, and you can’t tell she’s had a difficult life. Despite everything, she never gave up.

 

Health issues

Anna grew up with no connection to the Land of Israel. She was nine years old when she first visited the Holy Land. Back in the US, she developed severe allergies. She suffered from rashes and other allergic reactions. At the same time, she developed heart failure. Sometimes her heart rate would suddenly increase (“My record is 297 beats per minute”). At first, the attacks lasted a few seconds and Anna didn’t realize it was a problem. There were also times when the episode lasted several minutes.

    Aliza, what an absolutely amazing article of determination and courage displayed by this young woman.
    Are you able to discover more people who are willing to share a portion of their life’s journey to be an inspiration for others.
    There is something about Israel that affects each person’s heart. Something to think about for sure.
