For the Jewish people, who read the weekly portion, the biblical narrative ends on a somber note with the death of Moses, the man who has accompanied us for many months. It’s astonishing that, even though I know the final verses almost by heart, I still feel sadness when reading them.

    It is true there will never be another leader like Moses, but it wasn’t Moses who did the miracles, it was the Lord.
    Jesus said, “he who doubts, will have nothing.” Israel wants peace, perhaps Israel needs to stop doubting. Regardless of what the world leaders say or do, the word of the Lord is going to run its course, no one can stop it, no matter how hard they try.
