MembersDefeating Hamas means defeating their ‘god’

Former top general cites Zechariah as a battlecry: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord of Hosts.

Egypt was defeated through a demonstration of power that revealed the superiority of the God of Israel over the gods of the Nile. Wiping out the bulk of Pharaoh’s troops in the Red Sea incident would have been insufficient if the idea of Egypt’s divine supremacy persisted.

A similar argument is being made today by those who say Hamas cannot be truly defeated, no matter how many men it loses, if the ideology of Hamas lives on.

Victory over ideology

The Nazis were defeated not only by militarily overcoming their armies, but by proving false the ideological pillars of their nationalist ethos. If the Allies had not imposed so decisive a victory, Nazism would have recouped its strength and again reared its head, if not in Germany then somewhere else, and conflict would have resumed.

This has long been the problem with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel repeatedly punishes the Palestinian terror groups, but never assaults the core principle upon which they are based, namely that “Allah is greater” and will one day soon grant them...

This is so true and so simple. The same is true in the current United States which is deteriorating under the false idea that we can prevail without the one true God of the Bible. George Washington stated this in his first presidential address. I’m praying for Israel and the United States to recognize this again!

  2. Esther Wischer says:

So glad to hear that the battlefield commanders are beseaching the Almighty for victory! This must not be censored – Israel as a whole must call out the Almighty, for there alone is her deliverance.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas started the Ezekiel 38, 39 war. We have watched as it has escalated to where it is now on the verge of an even bigger war with one major battle looming.
I see the Israeli’s being united for the Lord and those who are on the left making their choice to not unite with those who choose the Lord.
When the battle is over, there will be no need to worry about how to dismantle Dawah, it will have no meaning after what is coming.
What Hamas started, the Lord will finish His way, then the Israeli’s will be busy with a peace treaty and building the temple.

Great article of truth. Truth is what makes such commentaries powerful. Great idea but too much ‘left’ and secular driven ideology in both Israel and the West, including the USA to affect real change. As a follower of Christ Yeshua, Justice is paramount. Hamas needs to be wiped out. But a weak minded society will cry out for sensitivity to a religion that encourages an Oct 7th. Satan laughs at such ignorance, it plays into his hand of destruction of civil society.
Hosea 4:6- “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”.
