
Just days before Prime Minister Netanyahu could begin unilateral annexation of parts of the “West Bank” in Trump’s “Deal of the Century,” the results of a fascinating survey were published.
The AChord Center at the Hebrew University published the survey regarding annexing territories in Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”). The survey indicates that the annexation is low on the list of the Israeli public’s priorities, and that the government agenda is out of touch. The extensive public opinion poll was conducted recently by the Internet “iPanel” and the “Statent” research institute. This poll conducted between June 4, 2020 and June 17, 2020 among the adult population in Israel, surveyed 1,795 Jewish citizens and 182 Arab citizens (for a total of 1,977 respondents).
The Jewish respondents answered an Internet questionnaire, while the Arab respondents replied over the telephone. The research team for the survey was from The AChord Center – Social Psychology for Social Change, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
