Israel has invested a lot in its official presence on social media, and new Twitter boss Elon Musk says it’s paying off.
Musk last week complimented the official State of Israel Twitter account for its quick-witted and facetious response to Kanye West’s first post since having his own account reinstated.
Your tweets are good! More countries should tweet like this. No fun being all stuffy.

West had his account suspended by Twitter’s previous leadership following a series of antisemitic rants.
His first post after returning to Twitter was a simple "Shalom :)"
The State of Israel’s response to that was a play on singer Taylor Swift’s reaction in 2016 to West saying that she had approved the derogatory use of her name in his song "Famous."
"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative," Swift said at the time.
While not everyone got the joke, it clearly wasn’t lost on Musk.
The Israeli Embassy in Washington also posted a tongue-in-cheek response calling out Kanye’s obsession with the Jews.

Yair Netanyahu also commented, pointing out that while Kanye might have an issue with a handful of liberal progressive Jews in Hollywood, a majority of Jewish people, especially in Israel, are conservative, and some, like him, even "support strengthening Christian identity in USA and Europe."
>> with the "Jewish people"? What does that got to do with millions of Jewish babies and children? What does it got to do with millions of Israelis who never been been to America and has nothing to do with Hollywood? I myself am a conservative Israeli Jew, who fight for >>

>> prominent CONSERVATIVE leaders. BTW, every single DNA study of the Jewish ppl (Askenazi and Sephardic), shows the Jewish ppl came from the levant area, and that they are the descendants of the ancient Hebrews from the Bible. So Kanye – stop this BS
