Behind the jar of oil, the Maccabees, and the Temple lies an ancient drama—not merely a physical war, but a battle for faith, for the right to define who we are, who rules our inner light, and where the miracle in our lives resides.

This festival, made entirely of light, was born from one of the darkest times in Jewish history. The Greek empire under Antiochus IV sought not only to destroy the body, but above all the spirit and soul. It decreed the abolition of Shabbat, the banning of circumcision, and the desecration of the Temple, aiming to turn Jerusalem into a Hellenistic city. The goal was to erase the history of the Jewish people—their memory, their consciousness, and the root from which they grow.

The miracle of the oil jar is not just the story of a light that burned for eight days. It is the story of a tiny, almost invisible spark that was capable of illuminating an entire reality.
