I won’t feed the media monster by sacrificing more human flesh, especially not a brother, but in short – a comment made publicly by Chaim Malespin, Director of the Aliyah Return Center, reached Israeli media when he claimed that Lihi, the wife of outgoing Prime Minister Yair Lapid, was a confirmed Messianic Jew.

This controversy caused a national uproar and was weaponized ruthlessly by the media and politicians, eager to take Yair Lapid down with the worst charge of all – “being a Messianic Jew.”
After a denial by Lihi Lapid of these so-called ‘facts,’ a shaken and appalled public moved on to the 2022 elections, when rumors and skeletons were taken out of the closet, putting Chaim in the hot seat again.
