A senior Hezbollah operative was killed by an Israeli drone strike in Southern Lebanon on Saturday morning, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
Ali Nazih Abed Ali was a “significant terrorist” who planned and carried out various terrorist activities, according to the Israeli military. Lebanese media reported that two other people were wounded in the strike, which according to the IDF occurred near Bazourieh.

Ali’s elimination “represents a significant blow to the capabilities of the Southern Front and to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the area,” the IDF said.
IDF takes out Hezbollah launcher following rocket barrage
The IDF struck a Hezbollah launcher overnight Saturday shortly after it was used by Iran’s Lebanese terror proxy to fire 30 projectiles at the Galilee panhandle.
Most of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome aerial defense system, according to the IDF, although one fell in the area of Beit Hillel and several more landed in open areas.
No injuries were reported.
Israeli forces also struck terrorist infrastructure in the area of Marjayoun in Southern Lebanon, and IDF artillery targeted threats in the area of Odaisseh.
IDF hits Hezbollah targets over the weekend
The IDF struck numerous Hezbollah terror targets on Friday night and during the day on Saturday, including in Tayr Harfa, Kafr Kila, Rab El Thalatheen and Odaisseh.
An Israel Air Force aircraft eliminated a terrorist in the area of Deir Seryan on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, Hezbollah continued to fire projectiles into the upper and western Galilee region, with a hit identified in the Avivim area. No injuries were reported.
