IN PHOTOS: Hate-Drenched Gaza Summer Camp Opens

Would indoctrinating children to hate, kill and seek death not be condemned as child abuse in your country?

What will your kids be doing this summer? The traditional activity, at least for children in Israel and the West, is for children to head off to summer camp, where they’ll learn new skills, bolster friendships and generally be kept busy and entertained.

Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip are doing the same. But with a twist.

Gaza’s annual Hamas-run summer camp opened this week. During this camp, local children will:

  • Be taught to keep their bodies trained for war;
  • Be instructed on the use of automatic weapons; and
  • Be indoctrinated with an undying hatred for Israel and the Jewish people that will make a peaceful resolution to the current conflict all but impossible for yet another generation.

It is no exaggeration to call this child abuse.

That doesn’t look like the entrance to any youth summer camp I ever attended.
Some of these kids can’t be an older than 10, and already they are leaning to hate and kill.
Physical activity is great, but not when it’s paired with hateful ideology.
Learning about the weapons of the enemy. Models of Israeli tanks, which Hamas expects these children to violently confront.
Notice the symbol on their shirts. It’s the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount. Hamas brainwashes these children to believe they must lay down their lives to “save Jerusalem” from the hated Jews.
